[Vehicle Wraps] What's the Cost?

Car Wrap

We get asked this very vague question a lot and it is hard to answer without being given the correct relevant information. Getting straight to some general pricing, an average graphic advertisement wrap is about $2500, and the average color change paint replacement wrap is closer to $3000 on up to $6000 if you are going beyond the exterior and we get into interior door jambs which we call “A complete color change wraps.” Want to just wrap your roof or hood? That can cost closer to $200-$450. Interior panels and dashboard components? $400-$800. All the exterior chrome trim of your vehicle can be wrapped too and can cost between $250 to $2000 depending on if the grill and bumpers need to be wrapped to boot. As you can see, there are many variables to quoting a wrap project.

Close inspection of the vehicle prior to wrapping is strongly recommended. This will allow for small imperfections to the paint and body of the vehicle to be addressed prior to the wrap being installed.

Now let’s get to brass tacks which most people leave out when contacting us. What is the make, model and year of the vehicle? What type of wrap? What Color is the vehicle? Every vehicle is unique as are most vehicle wraps. As an example, a full-size Sports Utility Vehicle should cost more than a small 2 door car… but a full wrap on a small car wrap may cost more than large utility van because the roof and bumpers usually do not get wrapped on these types of vehicles. The old saying may come into play here... "Out of Sight...out of mind." In addition, there are usually less windows on a normal cargo van than a small sedan which equates too less cutting and trimming of the wrap being installed. This is where a lot of the time is involved installing a vinyl wrap. One bad cut here and the whole panel needs to be replaced.

Business advertising wraps are usually less expensive depending on layout and pre-flight conditions. A color change wrap because of the attention to detail, requires much more time-consuming effort. Sometimes requiring more material, labor and extended time for already much needed space. For a color change wrap, every inch of the vehicle needs to be perfect for up-close scrutiny and that is where our expertise comes into play. When we say, average “Color Change Wrap”, we mean standard colors. Specialty films with texture like carbon fiber, brushed metal and shade shifting colors you can comfortably add $800-$1000 to your wrap project, whereas other exotic finishes you can expect to add anywhere between $2000 to $4500 to the project.
